Where we started

We opened in Atlanta in 2000 as BSBI, working with 59 agencies in 5 states. Our home office is now in Mobile, Alabama, and we work with more than 1,000 agencies in about 30 states.

BaySide is on the approved Agency List and takes an active part in the national SBA surety bond program.

Underwriting before submission

Most of our underwriters have more than 26 years of underwriting experience, much of it at some of the largest surety companies in the country.

Before an account goes to a surety, our staff helps put the submission together and reviews it the way an underwriter would. You hear about the account's strengths and weak spots first, and most of the surety's questions are answered before they are asked. Underwriters decide faster, approve more often, and offer better terms and rates. That saves time for you, your client, and the surety.

As much help as you want

Agents choose how involved we are. If you want to stay hands-on, we work through you. If you are new to surety, we help you build the submission, work with the surety, sort out accounting questions with the CPA, and file with the SBA. If you prefer, we handle the whole process.

We are a growing company that works like a small one. We treat people the way we would want to be treated, and the client's interest comes first.

We look for the best underwriting conditions and rates, and we place bonds only with A-rated, Treasury-listed surety companies.
