Bayside Surety Brokerage, Inc. is a Surety-only brokerage/agency specializing in all types of surety bonds, from standard, to hard to place Contract and Commercial surety bonds. The company began operations in 2000 in Atlanta, GA as (BSBI), handling 5 states and 59 agencies. Today, fourteen years later, our home office is domiciled in Mobile, Alabama and we handle over 1000 agencies in approximately 30 states. Bayside is also on the approved “Agency List” and is an active participant with the National SBA Program.
Our company’s strength is our group of exceptional underwriters and highly trained support staff. The majority of our team members have more than 26 years of actual underwriting experience. They have worked previously for some of the finest and largest surety companies in the country. Bayside staff has the expertise to help put your submission together and perform preliminary underwriting review prior to making the submission to one of our many surety markets. This allows our staff the ability to advise you of your account’s strengths and/or challenges prior to submission to a surety. By having this service, many of the surety’s underwriting questions and concerns are corrected or explained prior to making the submission. As a result, the underwriters are able to make decisions quicker, more often, and with more favorable terms, conditions and rates. Most importantly, this saves time and frustration for everyone involved: you, the clients, the agents, and even the Surety.
Additionally, our trained staff, when servicing a submission made by an agent, can service the account to whatever degree the agent may need. This means, if you, the agent would like to be fully involved in the surety process, we can work through you. However, if you are new to the world of surety, we will assist you in making your submission, working with the surety, addressing any accounting issues with the CPA, submitting to the SBA, etc. Furthermore, if requested, we will handle the entire process for you.
